Shag Factory Flower Power Happiness Bullet Vibrator

Bright sunshiny vibe

I admit it - I'm not a fan of pink or purple. Any sex toy that has some other colour choices is sure to get a second look from me. The Shag Factory Happiness Vibe is so bright and cheerful in yellow that I knew I had to have it.
Packaging
The Happiness vibe comes in a sealed pouch with the groovy Shag Factory designs on it. No embarrassing porn imagery!
First Impressions
Once I opened the packet, I liked the look and feel of the silicone sleeve. The little daisy on the tip looked promising for clitoral stimulation and it's just overall cute and cheery.
Getting Started
First you have to open the bullet to remove the little paper disk on the batteries, and this isn't easy. The silicone sleeve is rather clingy. I finally succeeded by dripping some lube in between the bullet and sleeve and then sliding a finger in to spread the lube around. Once I'd done that, I was able to slide the bullet out far enough to get to the battery compartment. I don't think I would have been able to get to the battery compartment without using lube.
Performance
The bullet is very easy to use, with a push button control for three power settings. Unfortunately, it's rather noisy for such a small toy. It is louder than my Erotic Rocket, with more of a hum than a rumble, and of course the higher pitched humming type noise carries further. I had bought this with the idea of taking it with me on vacation, but I wouldn't feel comfortable using this with one thin wall between me and my relatives.
If you can ignore the noise, the vibrations are nice and strong, at least when the batteries are fresh, and the little daisy on the silicone sleeve turned out to feel as nice as I had imagined. I placed a little dab of Liquid Silk lube on the end, and the texture plus the vibrations was an excellent combination.
Final Thoughts
It's a shame the vibe is so noisy, because it really lets down the product. I believe when the batteries run down on this, I'll send it on to the great naughty drawer in the sky (i.e. Rabbit Amnesty) and save the sleeve to use on a quieter bullet.

KY Silk-E Vaginal Moisturiser 70ml

Shame about the taste

Most people understand the importance of lubricant during sexual activities, but intimate moisturiser gets less attention. This is a product that you use on a regular basis to keep the labia and vaginal walls healthy and moisturised, just as you would use lotion on dry skin. Vaginal dryness can be caused by prescription medication, allergies, medical conditions, or simply the hormonal changes involved in ageing. Keeping the area well moisturised won't eliminate the need for a lubricant when it's playtime, but it will make the whole area more comfortable.
Packaging
Unfortunately, Silk-E fails to explain on the packaging or the bottle the purpose of intimate moisturiser, and simply says to use it to give immediate relief from vaginal dryness. I think this is a mistake, as daily use is going to be more effective than simply waiting until the area is uncomfortable.
The bottle is a squeeze type with a flip top lid. It comes in a box that is about a third larger than necessary, which might mislead people into thinking they were going to get a larger bottle. Very naughty of K-Y to do that, especially since they didn't use the extra box space to include more product information.
Hand Test
My first test with a new lube is the hand test - I squeeze out a little on the back of my hand and rub it in like a lotion to see how it treats the skin. Silk-E soaks in nicely, but there is a slight feel left over on the surface of the skin. It isn't sticky, but there's definitely a sense that it didn't all soak in.
Appearance, Texture, Taste
Silk-E is a clear, viscous liquid. It holds in place for a moment before dripping off, but it is still obviously a liquid rather than a gel. It feels slippery between the fingers, without a tacky or sticky feel. The taste is bitter and somewhat medicinal.
Performance
To test this product, I used it daily for a fortnight. To apply, I simply poured a bit onto a finger and spread it internally. Within a few days, I felt that I had less dryness, and I was more comfortable during play. However, the product made my natural secretions taste unpleasant. That in itself will make it a deal-breaker for many people.
Final Thoughts
It is really unfortunate that the taste is so bad, as the product itself does an excellent job as a moisturiser. I intend to keep using it, but hopefully can eventually find a replacement that doesn't have this problem.

Marvellous Anchor 3-Point G-Spot and Clitoral Vibrator

Not so marvellous

I have a very sensitive G-spot, and I'm a huge fan of anal stimulation, so I expected a lot of fun from this toy. Unfortunately, it has no flexibility in it at all. After insertion, the front bit doesn't reach my clitoris, and the rear bit doesn't rest on anything particularly sensitive. However, the central nub hit the spot perfectly, and I enjoyed that quite a lot. Also, the anchor part makes a convenient handle if you want to apply the vibrations to the clit, and I have used it that way quite often.
The vibrations are very strong, and the smooth coated plastic has a nice feel. However, this shape would benefit a lot from being made of a more flexible material and from having the extensions be a bit longer so that women of different shapes and sizes can benefit from triple stimulation. As it was, I was only able to use it to stimulate one area at a time, which, while pleasant, wasn't the reason I purchased this vibrator.
